I thank Holy Spirit for continuing to draw me with His loving kindness. I thank Him that He desires to reveal His heart to me more and more. I am learning to trust that He loves me simply because He says He does. He has chosen to shed His precious blood and has victoriously defeated death, hell, AND the grave. He has chosen to adopt me into His family, sit me together with Himself in heavenly places. He has chosen to love me with an everlasting love. Hmm, that makes me pretty special, and if you love and live in Jesus, then that makes you pretty special and important too. We have worth in Him, we only have to believe. It seems easy enough, yet it requires faith to believe it and access it. Help our unbelief, Lord I pray. We want to see you. Love You're precious daughter, Mel :)

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns

I keep having a vision of an empty warehouse with ladders that lead to the rooftop. Lord, what does this mean? And, I heard Him say that the empty warehouse represents those whose resources have been depleted -- emotionally and financially, but the ladders represent opportunities to rise above loss and lack. Do not lose hope. I will make a way when there is no way. Nothing is impossible with Me. Trust Me, and I will lead you, says the Lord.
Isaiah 35:4-6 Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you." Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

Only You Satisfy

In You I find security and hope. In Your arms I find safety and quietness for my heart. I find life in Your presence. As I put my hope in You, I am not ashamed. I find You when I look for You with my whole heart. What are You saying to me today? I want to learn Your voice in greater way. Even in times of cleansing, pressing, refining I see Your hand. You are working in me a real and deep faith in You, in Your love, in Your word. Your will is for me to see Your word alive in me, make me alive in You as never before I pray. I have only half lived which isn't living at all. I want to live in fullness and fulfillment in You. You and Me, You and Me, You're helping me to see, it's You and Me. No one else can save me, No one else can heal me, No one else can satisfy my heart's desire, not myself, not anyone else. Only You can satisfy my deepest longings and yearnings. Only You satisfy.

Oh How He Loves

When I think of how much the good Lord has brought me through, I see how much He really does love me. Why, if He didn't care, He wouldn't bother drawing me to Himself. It causes me to grow more and more secure in His love. As I receive His love for me, I am able to give His love. How can one love well without believing that he is loved well? It's like seeing with new eyes and feeling with a new heart, kinda like what happened to the Grinch. He never realized what he was missing until he tasted what it was to have a heart. JESUS THE AUTHOR OF YOUR FAITH

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Many Christians act as if living by faith was only a one time situation, and use their faith like a fire extinguisher, which is only used in an emergency. You must do it God’s way, which is living by faith and daily depending on the promises of God. God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and does not change. Jesus is the developer of your faith. He is the head of the body of the Church, and meets your needs according to His riches in glory. You are to continue in the Word, and as you get to know Him better, you will be able to better understand the principles of divine faith, which is increased by reading your Bible.

The Talking Book

Remember that talking sandwich in the "Muppets from Space" movie? You know, the one that talked to Gonzo while he was held against his will. Well, today as I was cleaning the kitchen and meditating on some things. I got to thinking about that silly, talking sandwich. As I thought a little deeper, (how deep can a talking sandwich be you ask?) well let me share. I saw an image of a Bible, yes I said BIBLE, you know that dusty dictionary looking thing on your shelf, yeah that one. Ok, I thought the Bible is like that talking sandwich, when we meditate on it, study it, and apply it, it's the same as that sandwich talking to Gonzo giving him direction in his time of captivity. But unlike that sammich, we cannot expect for the Bible to magically hop off of the shelf, open the pages and begin to audibly talk to us. We must pick it up DAILY, ask Holy Spirit for an open understanding of it, that we may apply it. Remember that old memory verse "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path". Well, there it is, God said it and He meant it. So, when you want to click the remote, strum that ol' fiddle, power up that computer, think about that Good Book and may the good Lord help us to choose wisely. May we choose those things that give us life in You! Amen. Let's continue in His Word and begin to live in Him, move in Him and have our being in Him. Love you all, mel

DON’T STOP BELIEVING Gordon Richards

Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

"The only option unbelief has is to quit and give up. You may feel that God is still alive, but will not change your situation. Faith claims God is still in charge and will enable you to overcome. Divine intervention is going to take place when obedience to God’s commands are fulfilled. Are you facing a big obstacle in your life today? Does it look like things are going wrong, and there are no answers in sight? The Children of Israel were in such a situation when facing the Red Sea. The Egyptian army was behind them, the Sea was ahead of them, and mountains were on both sides of them. God had chosen the deepest point of the Red Sea to cross, because He wanted the Egyptians to drown in it. As God intervened in their lives, He will take care of you as well.

There’s not a mountain too high for you and God to climb. There is never a river too deep for Him to get you across, there’s never an obstacle that He can’t get you around - just trust Him!"

Fill my cup

Fill me up dear Lord I pray. I desire earnestly to see Your will unfold in my life. Don't allow me to become so caught up with the temporal that I lose sight of the eternal. Continue to speak to me. I am happy that I am learning to hear the still small voice I previously ignored. So sorry for that now Lord. Just as I long to hear You, You long to hear me, I miss You after a long busy day with life's demands and I know You miss me too. You are such a faithful and patient Lord. My heart swells with love and affection for You day and night. I need You, Your precious girl needs You soooo much. Thanks for being dad, You are Wonderful, Beautiful, Jealous over my heart. I love You, I love Your name, I love how You protect and handle my heart. I love how You are such a gentleman with me. I love how You love me and want to give me the best You have to offer. I want to please You as a child desires to make her dad so proud of her. Dear Father in Heaven, I am so grateful that you are pulling me out of an horrible pit! I had already settled in and hung pictures on the walls, but You were not willing that I should stay in that place. Thank You soooo much that I have worth in You as a precious daughter.

I am cherished not thrown out as junk, I am well loved and not insecure, I am accepted in the beloved and no longer rejected, I am learning to trust You for real this time! Dear Lord in Heaven,
I am so thankful for Your lovingkindness and faithfulness toward me. In my life, I see Your hand faithfully keeping me through each and every circumstance. Thank You for desiring to pour Your love in me and through me. May I be a vessel willing and clean for You. Fill my heart, I pray, with a deep trust in You. Source of my life

May Your counsel be my first stop as I journey through life on this planet. Rewire, transform, and renew my mind, please and thank You. Remind me to look up to You from whence cometh my help. Thank You for drawing me into Your presence and for filling me again and again as I position myself to receive from You. Your gifts of love and peace and joy are only worth something to me as I learn to receive them. Thanks for helping me to be a taker when it's right to take! :) Teach me Your ways, Oh Lord my God, that I may walk in Your truth, give me a totally undivided heart that I may walk with You. Be my Center

Dear Jesus, may I seek Your will in everything. Lord, I am tired of attempting to accomplish things within the scope of my own "knowledge" and wisdom" (which in the light of You amounts to pretty much nada!). I have allowed my heart's motivation to be fear in many (pretty much every) areas of my life. You have brought me through this life, yet now I finally desire and am yielding to becoming whole. I want to begin to TRULY live and move and to have my being in You. Once and for all, I desire to be the "right" righteous Melissa that You, Abba, designed me to be. I don't want to be motivated and silenced by fear of men, fear of rejection or any other abominable influence. I want You to reign over and in me. I give You control, as tough as it is sometimes. I realize that being "in control" is out of my scope of work. It's Your job function and too much for me, this is so Your department, I am surrendering all to You. I am a little scared, You know how I get weird about change and trying new things. I am leaning on You Holy Spirit to comfort, lead, guide and teach me. Jesus, take the wheel! I want to let go in You. Let go of fear, let go of pride, let go of hurt, let go of control. Breathe it in sister! I wanna fly with YOU Lord. This is a new and promising day. In His presence is FULLNESS of joy and at Thy right hand, pleasures forevermore. The more I seek You, the more I find You.
